Recordings of Dr. Peter Powers’ talk on healing and type 1 diabetes are available in the
Church Office. You may order a CD or tape recording, with accompanying handouts, as you
would a Sunday morning service.
Our Nurses, Terry Klecan, NP and Kim Wheeler, RN, provided blood pressure screening for
40 people on April 6th. They did blood sugar screening, also for 40 people, on May 18th.
Thank you Kim and Terry!
Kris Foulkes, a diabetes lay educator, talked about "The Gift of Type 2 Diabetes" between
Sunday services on Sunday, May 18th. The value of a proper diet and regular exercise is
remarkable. Thank you Kris for sharing with us.
Health tip by Dr. Andrew Weil: Snacking on pistachios is good for your heart. People who
ate the nuts regularly cut cholesterol levels and also reduced inflammation in the body.
Choose natural pistachios rather than ones dyed red or blanched white.
